Privacy Policy — The Last Screening

Effective: 10 September 2026 Last revised: 10 September 2026 Application: The Last Screening (마지막 상영) · com.lastscreening.app

In short

The game has no account, sign-in, in-app purchase, player-to-player feature, or game server. Save data and settings are stored locally on the device.

The Android release offers an optional rewarded advertisement when a player requests additional hints after the initial free hints. There are no automatic interstitial, banner, or mid-roll advertisements. A rewarded advertisement is requested only after the player chooses the hint action.

The game operator does not run its own analytics or advertising database. The Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK are bundled for the optional rewarded hint feature. Google may process data as described in section 4, subject to the user’s consent choices, region, ad request, and Google’s policies.

Revision history

1. Scope

This policy applies to The Last Screening on Android, package com.lastscreening.app. The web build does not request rewarded advertisements.

2. Information handled by the game

The game itself stores the following on the device:

Data Contents Location
Save data Progress, inventory, journal entries, and endings reached App storage on the device (localStorage)
Preferences Language, music and effects volume, subtitle size, speed, and backing App storage on the device (localStorage)

The game operator has no account system, game server, or mechanism to read these values remotely. Android automatic backup may include them in the user’s own Google account backup when that operating-system feature is enabled; we do not have access to that backup.

3. Optional rewarded advertising

When the player’s free hint credits have been used, the player may choose to watch one rewarded advertisement to receive three hint credits. The hint currently requested uses one credit. If an advertisement cannot be loaded, is dismissed before completion, or otherwise fails, the current hint is provided for free and the game remains playable. Re-reading the same hint is free.

The game does not start an advertisement automatically and does not use interstitial, banner, or mid-roll placements.

4. Data processed by Google Mobile Ads

The Google Mobile Ads SDK documentation states that the SDK may automatically collect and share the following data types for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes:

Category Examples and purpose
IP address Used to deliver ads and may be used to estimate the device’s general location
User product interactions App launch, taps, and video views
Diagnostic information SDK/app performance information, such as launch time, hang rate, and energy usage
Device and account identifiers Android advertising ID, App Set ID, and, where applicable, other identifiers related to signed-in accounts on the device

Google states that this data is encrypted in transit using TLS. The exact data processing and ad personalization can vary by consent choice, applicable law, region, device settings, ad request, and Google SDK configuration. The game operator does not receive the advertising identifiers or the ad reports as a separate game profile.

The Android app declares INTERNET so that the optional ad SDK can communicate with its service. The ad SDK may also contribute its own permissions and components to the merged Android manifest.

For the source of this disclosure and Google’s current handling details, see Google Play data disclosure for the Mobile Ads SDK.

The UMP SDK requests an updated consent state when the Android app starts and displays any message required for the user’s region before an ad request. The app checks whether an ad may be requested. If consent is unavailable, the hint remains free and no rewarded ad is requested.

Where Google requires a privacy-options entry point, the app exposes Ad privacy options in its settings. The user can revisit or change the available choices there; future ad requests follow the resulting UMP state. A temporary network failure does not block the game. The consent form itself remains available until the user completes or closes it.

See Google’s UMP Android setup documentation for the SDK behavior and consent requirements.

6. Third parties and sharing

The game operator does not sell or share the local save data with third parties. The optional advertising feature sends the ad request to Google Mobile Ads, which may collect and share the categories in section 4 with Google and its advertising partners as needed to provide, measure, and protect the service. Google’s own privacy terms apply to that processing:

7. International processing and retention

Google may process advertising data in countries outside the user’s country. Google sets the retention periods for data processed by its services according to its policies and product settings; the game operator does not control or have access to those service records. See Google’s Privacy Policy for the current details.

Local save data remains on the device until the user overwrites it, clears app data, or uninstalls the app. Android backup behavior is controlled by the operating system and the user’s Google account settings.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or restriction of processing. Requests about data processed by Google’s advertising services may need to be directed to Google through the controls and contacts described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

For questions about the game, contact us using section 9. We will respond within 30 days where applicable. Local save data can be deleted by the user at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.

9. Contact

10. Children

This app is not directed at children. Its Google Play target age is 13 and over. We do not knowingly create an account or game profile for a child. Parents or guardians with questions about the optional advertising feature can contact us using section 9.

11. Security

Local game data stays in the app’s device storage. Google states that data handled by the Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. No security measure can remove all risk, so users should keep Android and Google account settings up to date.

12. Changes to this policy

We will publish changes and their effective date on this page. If a change materially affects the way the app handles data or advertising, we will provide advance notice where required by applicable law and platform policy.
